I would always hear that there is no authentic "Mexican food" in Nashville but honestly, these people have not looked or haven't been on Yelp because Nashville is filled with authentic Mexican (and different Hispanic foods).
I come here specifically for the tacos and no one can change that! The service is great and the food is even better, I come for at least four tacos, two of carne asada, one of el pastor and once of carnitas!
You will not be upset once you get one bite of these tacos. -

I've been living in Nashville nearly 11 years and I am dissapointed in myself for not visiting this spot until now.
What a Mboro Rd gem! I needed something quick to eat and my friends that live nearby suggested that I stop here.
$1.50 TACOS people!!! I grabbed 2 of the first things I saw listed (beef and spicy pork tacos) and was highly satisfied. They were VERY generous with the meat portions! The sauces they provided were bomb and I love that they threw sautéed onions in the middle. It's so much more on the menu I would like to try when I have time to dine in.
My only regret was that I didn't get a side of rice. I'll definitely be back because it is not far off the interstate. -

This was not as great as I expected, however part of that is because they mixed up my order and didn't give me what I requested. The restaurant is tiny but has lots of seating. I ordered three tacos- chicken, pork, and carnitas. Instead of chicken I received beef, which I ended up liking more than the pork or carnitas. The carnitas were, according to my husband, extremely authentic but they were too fatty and flavorless for my personal preference. I'm sure American-Mexican food has ruined my appreciation for true Mexican, though.
The refried beans were absolutely delicious. I wish I'd have just gotten a few plates full of them! The issues with my order were most likely due to the language barrier between us and our server so I'm not basing my review solely on that. Everyone else at my table greatly enjoyed their food and I'm sure many others do as well- it just wasn't my day, I guess! -

WHAT A FIND! Too bad I don't live in Nashville, or I think I'd be here twice a week.
My brothers and I were staying near the airport for an event downtown, so we had easy access to this gem. It's a hole in the wall, but was clean and the staff was super friendly.
We ordered a variety of tacos and they were all delicious. I particularly enjoyed the lengua, which was super tender and flavorful. Their homemade salsas were also to die for.
But the highlight was the Mojarra Frita Diariamente. Basically a whole fried fish with all the fixins for making fish tacos (avocado, pico, etc.). Blew us away. The fish was perfectly cooked tender, and each bite was fresh and delicious. Get this. Now.
What a meal. Twice. -

This place is so delicious. I slammed on my breaks and turned around because it had all the signs of a hidden (to me) gem. There's also a second location on Nolensville that I go to at least 2xs a week. This blew that location away and it's closer to my house... so, I'm basically going to eat here every day for the rest of my life.
And I am picky about my Mexican food because I'm from California. If that means anything to you... do what you will.
